Over 50's Fitness

Charteris and Brent Council offer a varied selection of free classes for the Over 50s.

We recommend that you start with a "return to exercise" assessment session. These are held on Wednesdays between 5-7 PM.

The session will take about 30min and takes place in the Gym. 

Following the assessment we will suggest a exercise program that suits you, below is the current Over 50s timetable at Charteris 

Tuesday 5-6 pm

A session of general exercise 

including gentle stretching, mat work, light weights. Working on core strength and flexibility.In  the 1st floor Studio.

Wednesday 5-7pm

A general weight training session in the gym with Michael the PT

Using the gym cardio equipment, stretching bands and resistance machines to build muscle strength and endurance.

Thursday 5-7pm

Gym circuit session.

Use of cardio and resistance machines in a circuit format in a supportive environment. 

We throw in a few extra exercises to keep it interesting and fun.

Friday 6:30-7:30pm

Over 50's circuit class in the main hall with coach Maurice. 

A mixture of cardio and strength training exercises in a fun and fast paced session that will improve your overall fitness.
